Xcalak is a small village on Mexico’s Caribbean coast with sprawling beaches and excellent fishing. But when the team from visited, they noticed a large amount of trash washing up on its shoreline. Though it’s unclear where this trash is coming from, some residents believe that , dump their trash in this area of ocean. Bajio wanted to do something about it. It solicited the help of Liz, a 28-year-old local from a family of fly-fishers, who agreed to lead a beach-cleanup initiative with funding from Bajio. Check out this film to learn about the project.
