From kayaker and filmmaker , Jondachi tells the story of young man and his connection to the Rio Jondachi in Ecuador. The Rio Jondachi is a source many things in his life, including fish for his family, a spiritual relationship, and beautiful whitewater. Mckay was drawn to this region because of an , but rather than focus on conservation alone, Mckay approached it differently. “My thoughts were to make a film about the spiritual connection to a resource,” he says, “and how that needs to be valued for all of us to really gain the most out of life.”
