7 Deserts is a video series from that follows ultrarunner Mina Guli as she runs 40 marathons across seven deserts on seven continents in seven weeks. For the penultimate stop for the project, Guli traveled to Chile's Atacama Desert, a hub of mining activity. Those minerals wind up in electronic products that we use every day from our mobile phones to our laptops. Mining leads to catastrophic effects on the water supply in the region, which inspired one man to produce sustainable water through fog catches.
