For his latest timelapse project, filmmaker  wanted to find a spot East Coast with Western-like low levels of light pollution, despite major metropolitan areas and condensed population. His search for an unpolluted sky led him to the Monongahela National Forest in central West Virginia and the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where the nearest signs of modern life are a gas station and a convenience store in neighboring towns. This film was shot over 10 months and 4 seasons, and well worth the effort. Find out more about Zorger's research .
