The island is a short ferry ride away but doesn’t get as many visitors as one might think. Once you arrive, it feels much wilder and more remote than it actually is due to land conservation,a purposely small population, and a rugged landscape. But what makes it a gravel rider’s dream are wide-open fire roads connecting different parts of the island and singletrack that offers opportunities for deeper exploration. There are long, sweeping climbs and descents, as well as steep and chunky sections, not to mention buffalo, foxes, and more views than you can imagine. It all adds up to a unique place fora group of friends to have a good time pushing themselves and their bikes in new ways.
