FOLD AND GO—AROUND THE WORLD
We packed two Swifts into one duffel, checked them through to Ulan Bator, and paddled Mongolia’s lakes and rivers for a month. Conclusion: The portable Swift—which packs down to the size of a gym bag, weighs just 26 pounds, and takes less than 15 minutes to inflate and assemble—is every bit as maneuverable, stable, and seaworthy as its thermomolded cousins. 14′, 26 lbs; pakboats.com
Bonus: More internal space than expected.
Bummer: The deck material is delicate—ours showed wear from our carbon paddle blades catching on the bow.
