Whether you’re catching a wave, splashing in the nearest stream, or chilling at the beach, if you’re a fan, you’ll soon have eight new styles of board shorts in 45 different color combinations to wear for the occasion.
Athlete-approved from the barrels of Hawaii to the point breaks of California, this new line features lightweight stretch fabrics, a killer fit, performance and durability. Patagonia’s Stretch Board Shorts use mechanical stretch that prevents chafing and won’t break down like spandex.

The trim and fit Stretch Houdini Board Short ($119; available spring 2013) is made from super-lightweight polyester with two-way mechanical stretch and fully-welded flat seams that help them dry faster than anything you're used to.

ճStretch Journeyman Board Short ($79; available spring 2013) is amphibious. Wear it to swim or to hike—or both on the same afternoon. It’s made from a durable polyester stretch ripstop with 50+ UPF sun protection.
