I’m a big fan of plastic sandwich bags. They’ve been my go-to organizational tool for decades, particularly when I travel. I put my tickets and passport in one big plastic baggie, my toiletries in another, and my earphones and cords in another. But there’s a better (and more eco-friendly) way to keep your travel necessities organized. We scoured the internet and found five of the most beloved travel organizers on the market. Here are our picks to keep your next trip in order.

Matador FlatPak Bottles ($35 for 3)

uses waterproof Cordura fabric to build these little pouches designed to hold shampoo, lotion, or whatever liquids and gels you need to take on the road with you. They’re leakproof, TSA-approved, and easier to pack than the tiny sample bottles of shampoo you get at Target.

Keep your passport, tickets, cards, and money organized in this made from water-resistant nylon. There are also spots for your pen and flashlight or other everyday carry essential, as well as room for your headphones or a small charger. It even comes with its own pocket notebook.

Arc’teryx Index Dopp Kit ($35)

Think of the as a really, really nice plastic bag. This Dopp kit is built for airline travel, with compartments that are designed to house 3.4-ounce travel containers and a see-through exterior so you don’t have to pull out all your toiletries when you’re going through security. The handle buckles so you can hang it from a towel rack or shower curtain rod.

Cargo Works EDC Molle Case ($50)
