DJI established itself as the powerhouse of the drone industry two years ago with the release of the now-ubiquitous and easy-to-fly Phantom. Its latest model, the , is even more exciting, with professional-caliber features in a package amateur photographers can afford.

The Inspire has an impressive spec list, including a built-in 4k camera with a 360-degree range of motion (made possible by the drone's automated carbon fiber legs) and GoPro Hero4-like capabilities. Think: 12 megapixel stills and 4k video at 30 frames per second.

If you'd prefer to shoot with a GoPro, you're in luck. The Inspire's camera is detachable, which means we can expect new gimbals—to attach third-party cameras—soon.

The Inspire actually has two built-in cameras, the second of which tracks everything underneath the drone so it can stabilize itself without a GPS signal—a big bonus if you're flying indoors. You can watch all the action live from up to a mile away via a new iOS and Android app.

We're especially stoked about the Inspire's second controller, designed to control just the camera. That means you can capture the action while a friend pilots the drone. The Inspire has roughly 18 minutes of flight time per charge, slightly less then the Phantom. Available December 1.
