Northern Patagonia is home to some of the world's best trout fishing, red meat, and red wine. And knives, too, apparently.
Diego Attwell started crafting blades in the city of Junin de los Andes, Argentina, 35 years ago. Back then, he used belt grinders to carve the metal, but in 2001 he moved his production to the forge and started hammering.
That's how he crafted this 7.5-inch beauty, with a blade made from Swedish 12c27 stainless steel, which is known for its sharpness and resistance to corrosion. The handle is made from a recycled Quebracho wood fence post. The knife also comes with a hand-stitched cow leather sheath.
Attwell only builds 25 to 30 knives a year, so don’t sit around if there’s a blade that catches your eye.
