Mark Landvik’s pro model, the Lando Phoenix is a big-mountain charger built for Landvik’s home playground near Juneau, Alaska. But like the Rome (opposite), it’s no one-condition pony. Testers loved how the mixed camber (rocker between the feet, with traditional camber at the tails) locked onto rails and made them want to ride bigger, faster, and harder. It handled so well, in fact, that testers wanted to rename it the “Lambo” (but like the sports car, with its precise handling, this board is for experienced drivers). This medium-flex twin punched through hard chop with zeal, rode switch easily in powder, and stomped landings all over the mountain. Even though its largest size is 160, our six-foot-three (and big-footed) testers still loved it. Note: available only in 157W and 160.
