CRUISE MISSILE
Good for Powder
Schlepping most oversize (and heavy) rockered skis up on a boot-pack can be spirit-crushing. Not so with the Megawatt. At ten pounds six ounces a pair, they’re markedly lighter than the norm. But they don’t ski wimpy. Although the Megawatt sports a rockered tip, it goes flat underfoot and through the tail, resulting in a loose feel entering the turn and lots of power on the way out. Like all reverse-camber skis, it takes about a minute to get used to. Unlike with most, you don’t have to get it hauling to initiate a turn easily. 153/125/130;
