The Stature was our favorite shoe for mellower trails, serving up ample cushioning, a medial post for pronation control, and a comfy, debris-thwarting neoprene ankle cuff. Traction was great on uphills, but our feet slipped too much inside the shoe on the downs. Testers loved the female-specific fit and flex grooves that address a woman’s gait; the thick, nonstretchy laces, not so much. Best for wide feet. 9.6 oz;
