MID-MILEAGE WORKHORSE
If the true test of a stability shoe is how comfortable it is during your last month of marathon training, then the heavily cushioned Kendari is the champ. “It felt great out of the box,” remarked one tester, “and just as good 100 miles later.” The comfort stems from the shoe’s forgiving flex, extremely supple midsole foam, and cushioned last board. And while the Kendari’s wide base and rugged medial posting provide plenty of motion control for mild to moderate overpronators, all that midsole bulk can feel sluggish at high speeds. Even so, while it’s not an especially light shoe, it feels like one on long, steady runs. 12.6 oz; etonic.com
