We’re fans of partially-insulated jackets like the Divide Full Zip. Because they’re insulated only in the chest—the sleeves and back are merino wool—they keep your core warm with very little bulk. But what’s especially cool about the Full Zip is that the core insulation is also wool, instead of down or synthetic fill. The wool batting kept us just as warm as synthetic-stuffed jackets while cat skiing in Jackson, Wyoming. The nylon fabric on the chest panel adds a bit of wind- and water-resistance, making it a great go-fast piece for everything from running to Nordic skiing. Available Fall 2012.
