Our gear editors scoured the floor of Winter Outdoor Retailer 2018 for the most interesting products under $50. Here’s what we found. Look for these products on the shelves starting in fall 2019.

Goggle Soc ($15)

We often times find the most practical gear is also the simplest and the Goggle Soc (above) is just that. Made from recycled plastic bottles, the “socks” are designed to stretch over almost any sized goggle, protecting the lenses from scratches. We dig the fun prints, like avocados, pineapples, and ski trail maps.

Osprey Daylite Waist Pack ($30)

(Ben Fox)

On your next hike or ride, ditch your big pack for the two-liter Daylite Waist pack, which is just big enough to carry some snacks and a rain jacket. It features two zippered pockets and an interior mesh organizational pocket.

Klean Kanteen 8 Ounce Sippy Cup ($18)

(Ben Fox)

We don't see a lot of kids' gear at the show, so the cool designs (think sea creatures and unicorns), on these sippy cups caught our attention. The feature that really makes the cup special? A metal latch that flips down, making it easier for kids to drink without it hitting their noses.

Darn Tough Outerlimits Ski Sock ($28)

(Ben Fox)

Go into any ski shop and they'll tell you that you should only wear thin ski socks under your boots. That's right, but thin also means less cushioning. Vermont-based Darn Tough found the sweet spot with the Outerlimits, only putting padding where you need it, like the toes and shin, and keeping the rest of the sock svelte. Like all Darn Tough products, they come with a lifetime guarantee.

Kavu Snack Sack ($45)

(Ben Fox)

Bring a few cold ones and some lunch on-the-go with this six-pack-sized padded, insulated cooler bag. A top handle and removable shoulder sling make for easy carry, while the external zippered pocket offers space to stash utensils, napkins, or a bottle opener.
