New perk: Easily find new routes and hidden gems, upcoming running events, and more near you. Your weekly Local Running Newsletter has everything you need to lace up! .

We've landed in Salt Lake City, and today we're headed to the on-water demo, where we'll get our first glimpse of kayakas, SUPs, and all the goodies and gadgets that go with them.

Then the show officially kicks off tomorrow, and here are a few cool new products that have popped up on our radar:

Yakima Whispbar: If you've passed on a roof rack to carry bikes, skis, or other gear because it was too loud, just ugly, or compromised your fuel efficiency, Yakima has a rack for you. After extensive wind tunnel testing, Yakima claims the rack is virtually noiseless, and it's so streamlined and aerodynamically designed that it won't compromise your car's fuel efficiency. There are no blaring, logoed spoilers, just simple and easy to use bars and feet. In the future you'll be able to get mounts that slide into each bar's t-shaped slot. But, in the meantime, any newer generation Yakima mounts with a clamp style attachment also fit. We've also heard rumors that Thule will also be debuting a new, quiter, and more fuel efficient rack as well. We'll try and confirm that tomorrow and will let you know what we find out. The Whispar is availabe now, $449-$499.

Timbuk2 Muttmover: Have you been losing sleep because you can't figure out how to transfer your tiny dog without comprosmizing your hipster aesthetic? Fret no more. messenger looking Muttmover is designed to haul your sub-15 pound yapper on your back, backpack style, whether you're riding your bike or meandering by foot. It's waterproof on both sides, easy to clean, and well vented. Timbuk2 says it'll also work for cats. You make that call. Available now, $90.

Revo Bearing and Heading: has quietly been reclaiming their mojo. (Signing up badass outdoor athlete and photographer certainly helped.) Last spring, a bunch of us began testing Serilium polarized, water-specific lens–they block 100% of UVA/UVB/UVC and harmful blue light, which is what you're getting when you stare at the water all day. While some testers thought the bright-blue lenses made them look to bug-like or futuristic, everyone agreed: these lenses are simply fantastic on the water, especially in bright light. The tint and polarization were especially great for fishing. The New nylon framed Bearing and Heading use the same lens in a frame that fits smaller faces, with a hinge that won't stretch over time. Prescription compatible. Available in November 2011, $189.
