Deal: 24Percent Off

We love this quiet, four-speed tool that helps ease sore muscles. “It doesn’t come with a lot of frills—there is no carrying case and no extra attachments—but it is a solid piece of machinery that can give you a relatively deep massage without forcing you to dip into your kid’s college fund,” wrote tester Graham Averill.“For the majority of people, the Impact is likely as much of a gun as they’ll ever need.” We also included the Impact in our 2021Winter Buyer’s Guide.

We love them for accessing touch screens duringaerobic activities like trail running and skiing. At 60 percent off, this is one of the best deals we’ve found on winter gloves.

December 10:Altra Lone Peak 4.5 Trail-Running Shoes

(Courtesy Altra. Graphic: Petra Zeiler)

Deal: 25 Percent Off

ϳԹtester and mountain guide Andrew Skurka summed up the Lone Peak 4.5best in his roundup of backpacking shoes: “[It’s] a favorite of thru-hikers, who appreciate its extra-wide toe box and generously cushioned 25-millimeter stack height when putting in long days on well-maintained trails.” But before theLone Peak 4.5 was released, its predecessor, the Lone Peak 4, made our columnist Wes Siler a convert. “The boxy forefoot looks über-dorky but is heaven on your toes. The lacing system includes a midfoot retention strap that keeps your toes from shoving up against the front of your shoe on descents,” he wrote. “Everything here just promotes total comfort.”

December 9:Osprey Talon 22-liter Backpack

(Courtesy Osprey Graphic: Petra Zeiler)

Deal: 25Percent Off

There’s no single daypack that’s ideal for every outdoor activity, but the Talon 22 comes pretty close. “The Talon 22 is a highly functional daypack that can carry your gear across multiple disciplines,” wrote our tester Graham Averill. “It’s loaded with thoughtful features, like trekking-pole attachments, a helmet-carry system, and an ice-tool loop. We also like the harness system, which has stretchy mesh shoulder straps, a seamless hipbelt, and a light aluminum frame in the back panel.” Its versatility makes it an easy choicewhen we’re gearing up for a weekend of adventures.

December 8: ForsakePatch and Halden Boots

(Courtesy Forsake Graphic: Petra Zeiler)

Deal: 25 Percent Off With Code ϳԹHoliday25

The Patch is one of our favorite women’s adventure travel shoes. It’s “as close to a fashionable hiking boot as I think you can get,” wrote testerKassondra Cloos. “I walked all over downtown Oslo on a snowy day with temps hovering right around freezing and never had to think about hopping over slush puddles—I just walked right through them.” Thanks to itswaterproof membrane, they’re a reliable winter boot: “I hiked in them around a lake on a snow-packed trail and wore them on two excellent (and very long) sled runs during which I used my feet as rudders to steer. My feet stayed super dry and warm the entire time.” Forsake is also offering 25 percent off the with the same code.

December 7:Goal Zero Sherpa 100PD Power Bank

(Courtesy Goal Zero)

Deal: 20 Percent Off

It’s a reliable power source for DSLR cameras and laptops, and its wireless charging capability is a huge plus.

December 4:Backcountry 30-liter ϳԹ Pack

(Courtesy Backcountry)

Deal: 45 Percent Off

The ϳԹ Pack is a solid all-around gear hauler.“Instead of schlepping two separate bags, I can fit everything I need for a week in this pack,” wrote our reviews editor. While it’s fantasticfor packing gear on extended trips, it has features that make it suitable for everyday use, like a variety of compartments, a laptop sleeve, and a burly exterior. It’s weather-resitant, too: “To top it off, it sheds water like a dream. Credit goes to the outer material, which is made with 300-denier tarp, and 600-denier polyester.” Once it’s safe to travel again, this pack will be our go-to carry on bag.But in the meantime, it’s one of our favorites for daily activities.

December 3:Anker Soundcore Life Q20Noise-Canceling Headphones

(Petra Zeiler)

Deal: 25 Percent Off With Coupon

The Soundcore Life Q20s placed first in our test of the bestnoise-canceling headphones under $150. “Low-frequency sounds, like road noise and car and airplane engines, are precisely the things you want to drown out with noise-canceling headphones. After listening to all three pairs back-to-back in my truck with the engine running, the Ankers were the clear winner,” wrote tester Bryan Rogala.“These headphones have four microphones that pick up and cancel out a wide range of low- and mid-frequency sounds, based on a unique algorithm. In promotional materials, Anker touts how it did a lot of testing to get the noise cancellation right, and it definitely shows.” These headphones are already a steal at $60, and at25 percent off, it’s a deal that’s hard to beat for the quality.

December 2: Outdoor Research Refuge Hybrid Hooded Jacket

(Petra Zeiler)

Deal: Up to 35 Percent Off

This jacket was our favorite hybridin our year-long test of the best men’s midlayers. Calling it “the love child of a soft shell and a vest,” tester Hayden Carpenter wrote: “We used this layer for hiking, ice climbing, and alpine skiing and were impressed at how well it cuts the wind and keeps the core warm. Like many of our top midlayer picks, the Refuge Hybrid functions as both an outer and a midlayer, depending on conditions.” It’s best for climbing, skiing, and running: “Since there’s no insulation in the sleeves and sides, the Refuge Hybrid is best for activities where you’re moving fast and working hard in cold weather.”

December 1: Lems Mesa Shoe

(Petra Zeiler)

Deal: 25 Percent Off

ϳԹcolumnist Jakob Schiller called these shoes “close to perfect.” Their versatile build“sits at the intersection between a runner, a travel slipper, a water shoe, and a low-cut hiking boot,” he wrote. The Mesa’s construction is what sold him: “A TPU cage surrounds the midsection for added support, which ishandywhen scrambling over rocks. The medium-aggressive tread—matched with a cushioned EVA midsole—handles the chunky, variable, loose terrain you find on trail as well as cushions against the foot-busting asphalt ofcity streets. The sole isalso flexible enough to bend in half, so the shoepacks well in a carry-on suitcase.”
