Packable Half-Zip

“It’s as packable as it is practical,” observed one tester. That pretty much sums up the Zephyrus. While it has roughly the same amount of synthetic insulation as the Arc’teryx Atom LT Hoody, it was better at shedding light rain and snow, due to its more windproof (and durable), highly water-resistant nylon ripstop shell. On the flip side, it’s not quite as breathable—and therefore not as suited to aerobic pursuits as the Atom. But testers loved this sleek and simple jacket for just about everything else, from hiking to knocking around town. Plus, thanks to its trim and minimalist pullover design (there’s just one chest pocket), it scrunches down to the size of a grapefruit. 9 oz;
