The Hoback is our favorite fully insulated ski jacket. The incredibly light Gore-Tex Pro Shell exterior is as waterproof and breathable as shells get, repelling even high-moisture squalls in the Cascade Range better than any other fabric we tested. Inside is toasty PrimaLoft insulation, which made this our jacket of choice for cold days hopping out of the gates at Jackson Hole. Want bells with your whistles? The Hoback throws in a removable powder skirt, insulated hood (not helmet-compatible), pass holder, iPod sheath, and mesh linings in the pit zips that keep the snow out if you biff.
