GOING DOWN?
For speed and control on the descent, the aluminum BMC took top honors, with our riders reporting significant increases in their downhill speed, so much so that they were catching other bikers they normally wouldn’t even see. On a ripping descent of Vermont’s Cliff Trail, turns were quick, fast, and light. More technical terrain is just as fun, thanks to a Rock Shox Reba SL 100 front fork (3.9 inches), a Fox RP23 shock in the rear, and disc brakes. Tip: Testers found the rear suspension a bit bouncy on climbs and recommend you lock it out, even on short ascents. 27.4 lbs; bmc-racing.com
