Ah, nothing says car camping like a good camp chair! Add in a fire and a little Maker’s Mark, and all is right with the world.
For car camping, Crazy Creek has two lines of chairs that may appeal to you. The ($41), which is part of their family camping collection, has an aluminum frame that folds down compactly and weighs only 2 pounds 10 ounces. It sits low to the ground—the seat height is five inches high—which makes it comfortable for sitting around a fire but won’t work as well if you bring a camp table.
By comparison, Crazy Creek’s ($48) is essentially a chair with no legs. Set it on the ground, a log, or a picnic table, and you’ll have a comfortable back and dry seat.

Finally, if you’re accustomed to a ubiquitous in your office, then you’ll want a Futura Clipper ($190). The Clipper is essentially an outdoor Aeron, and comes with a sleek aluminum frame, airy mesh seating material, a headrest, and reclining legs. It folds up easily for storage, and it’s the widest chair of this bunch—meaning there’s plenty of room for your Labrador Retriever.
