In 1873, Jacob Dennis and Levi Strauss teamed up to ; thus, the iconic blue jean was born. But utilizing denim for other purposes hasn’t stopped. Last month, Levi’s partnered with British saddle-maker Brooks to release the .

This unique bike seat strikes a balance between comfort and durability. It’s also sustainable: the denim is made from recycled jeans that were donated at Levi’s Commuter Workspace locations in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and London. The fabric is riveted around the same vulcanized natural rubber used in other C17 Cambium-model seats for added protection and flexibility.

With only 1,000 of the Brooks England Cambium C17 Denim Saddles in production, don’t delay that urge to own a legendary saddle wrapped in American tradition.
