An Indiana zoo employee Thursday. Marissa Dub, 21, of the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Center Point, Indiana, was attacked as the tiger was being transferred from its compound into a separate enclosure.
The gate to the holding area was reportedly not closed properly and the tiger was able to get out and attack Dub. “Likely it was an 8-minute attack,” Sheriff Rob Gambill announced. The other employees were finally able to free Dub by distracting the tiger with meat. Dub was then airlifted to Wishard Memorial Hospital.
Prior to working at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center, Dub had worked as a summer intern at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary.
