The most comprehensive drug testing has netted two positive doping tests from August’s meet in Daegu, South Korea. Portuguese steeplechase runner Sara Moreira and South Korean sprinter Lim Hee-nam both recorded positive tests for the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine, a substance commonly found in nutritional supplements. The International Association of Athletics Federations tested nearly 2,000 athletes at the meet, the most ever at a global championship in track and field. The stepped-up testing was the first step in a major effort to establish a biological passport program in track and field.
