Germany’s to win stage ten of the Tour de France on Tuesday, a day after Russia’s Alexander Kolobnev (Team Katusha) become the first rider to record a at this year’s race. Kolobnev tested postive for hydrochlorothiazide, a banned diuretic, after stage six. He has voluntarily suspended himself pending the results of a B-sample test. Meanwhile, reigning champ Alberto Contador has that a knee injury, sustained after Contador crashed twice earlier in the race, is causing him to consider dropping out. Contador also who created the first of those crashes when he stuck his head out to get a better look at the peloton in stage one. “The important thing is to pay attention to the peloton next time you’re on the road,” Contador said. But the driver of a French TV car who hit Juan Antonio Flecha and Johnny Hoogerland in stage nine hasn’t yet apologized, and Flecha . In a continually thinning field, Team RadioShack has in this year’s tour after Yaroslav Popovych withdrew with a fever. Radioshack lost Jani Brajkovic and American Chris Horner to crashes last week. After stage 10, GC standings remain unchanged with Thomas Voeckler in yellow. Contador is four minutes back.
