The winning runs for both Collinson and Tabke wowed the judges with their technical skills and of course, getting air. Collinson had some air at the start, then again through blonde rocks and Burk's Bush. Tabke also got some air in the beginning, then hit two jumps, and continued his hot streak through Burk's Bush and the Broom Closet.
Many of the riders, including Collinson, rode in memory of , who passed away in early March in a skiing accident. This year's championship included a Ryan Hawks Spirit Award, which went to Willie Schneider. “I’m super grateful to receive this award because was such an amazing person and a great athlete,” said Willie Schneider according to Freeskiing World Tour. “I was very emotional when his father came up and gave me a hug. I can’t express it in words.”
