With more than 600 athletes representing 70 nations mingling with thousands of spectators, the , Colorado—which runs untill February 15—is gonna be a party.

Almost all the races will take place at Beaver Creek’s 3,500-seat Red Tail Stadium, but the medal ceremonies will happen in the heart of Vail Village, followed by free outdoor concerts cranking up at 7 p.m. in the Solaris Plaza. Headliners include Ceelo Green, OAR, and the Barenaked Ladies. Before (or after) the shows, wander and stumble around the pedestrian-friendly town and check out a few of these hot spots.

Hungry? The pizzas at in the heart of Vail Village come out quick and the wine selection is deep. The seating has been expanded just in time for World’s and there are always a half-dozen Colorado beers on tap. Local’s favorite.

If the nightly free shows weren’t enough live music for you, drop into the , more of a music venue than a drinking establishment with nightly acts, but with a full bar, you can get plenty of both done.

Late night, hit the , a Latin-themed dance club that fills up fast with no cover for the ladies. Like everything in Vail, dress is casual, except on February 14, the night of thier annual Pimp n’ Ho party, which will require some preparation. Fireball shots are $4 every night.

If it’s sunny, grab a spot on the deck and watch tired tourists cartwheel down the steep Pepi’s Face. , both of which are excellent.
