A was discovered dead in a creek on Sunday after skiing away from a group of friends while intoxicated Saturday night.
Russell Tiffany, 23, had been drinking at a hut on the west boundary of the resort and decided to ski down the mountain alone. He planned to meet up with the group later but appeared intoxicated. He became disoriented and called friends for help. A group of campers at Mirror Lake tried to direct him to their campsite around 9 p.m., but he never showed up. It was the last time he was seen alive.
Tiffany was reported missing at 11 a.m. Sunday. Eight hours later, a search and rescue team found his body submerged in a creek near Mirror Lake.
