Encouraging customers to make their clothes last a lifetime, Patagonia kicked off its on Thursday in Ventura, California.
Repair staff from Patagonias facility in Reno, Nevada, will be on the road for more than a month offering repairs for busted zippers, rips, and tears while teaching people how to fix their own gear. The tour will visit locations across the country before concluding in Boston on May 12.
A staple of the tour is the ,a one-of-a-kind vehicle designed by artist and surfer Jay Nelson. The wagon features a solar-powered redwood camper shell, salvaged from giant wine barrels, mounted on a biodiesel-fueled 1991 Dodge Cummins.
Patagonias Worn Wear program was created in 2013 with the goal of keeping clothing, regardless of brand, in circulation for as long as possible.
