Australian surfer Owen Wright backed up his earlier perfect heat with a perfect 20-point final, Monday.  

The final was an all-Australian contest, with Wright squaring off against Julian Wilson. 

Only five surfers have ever ridden two perfect-ten waves during a heat. The only surfers with two perfect heats, Kelly Slater and Joel Parkinson, are both former world champions. But no one before Wright has ever scored two perfect heats in the same competition.
