Just before dawn in Silverton, Colorado, Kilian Jornet set a new course record at the Hardrock 100 in a time of 23:28:10. Jornet led the race from the beginning and only lost time near the end, where he says he got lost going over Oscar's Pass in the snow. Every year the course direction changes and Jornet also holds the record in the opposite direction. Montana runner Mike Foote finished second in a time of 25:45:12.
