We pulled into King Edward Point this afternoon and have cleared our requirements here.

We are clear to go!!!

It is a fantastic feeling to be poised on the brink of such a major adventure. We have a lot of support here and are very excited and very nervous about getting underway. The wildlife is astounding and it is such an honor to be about to embark on a journey sharing the home of all these creatures.

Are there many places at all on earth where this abundance and wildness are combined?

We will pack our Sea Bears as soon as we can and bid our farewells.

Updates from here on will be from us via our satellite phone or from Kev and Zak on board the yacht as they go about their business.

Everyone is excited about being here and the scope for so much inquiry and discovery of all of us.

The Team.

WEB NOTE : Sat Phone message at 1p.m. (NZ time) saying the boys were about to put paddles to water – the ϳԹ begins…
