Connie Hedegaard, the Danish minister presiding over the , says that the nations present are acting “just like schoolchildren…If they have a very long deadline to deliver an exercise, they will wait for the last moment…It's basically as simple as that,” reports. Hedegaard was expressing her frustration at the apparent dissension among nations over emissions cuts targets and financing to help developing nations deal with climate change as well as the corresponding actions developing nations need to take. She believes there will not be agreement until the last day of the talks, Friday. But there will be no agreement unless there is unanimity.
