A downed power line in the forest near Eureka, Montana electrocuted over a dozen animals over a period of a few months, according to . Animals killed included five white-tailed deer, four black bears, two wolves, one coyote and a turkey vulture. The line remained there for several months because no one had complained about losing power. “We're just thankful there weren't any two-legged creatures upthere,” Roger Pitman, operations superintendent at the Lincoln ElectricCooperative, told the . “Except for the turkey vulture.”
