Bike commuters are no longer an anomaly, and their right to the road is becoming a hot topic, as reported by . Bikes sales continue to increase, recently added bike routes, and many cities are reconfiguring car-only roads to accommodate the needs of cyclists–yet cyclists still report harassment and unease on the road. A reported $730 million federal stimulus dollars has been allocated to bike and pedestrian projects, leaving some frustrated that money needed to increase the economy is going to bike lanes instead.
