Ex-cyclist alleges deliberate leaking

Attorneys for Lance Armstrong have filed a motion in Los Angeles Federal court claiming that agents investigating the former cyclist’s alleged involvement in doping have deliberately leaked information to the media. That investigation, led by Food and Drug Administration agent Jeff Novitzky, has informed several major news stories, most recently a May . Releasing information related to a grand jury investigation, the motion notes, is illegal. Armstrong’s lawyers have requested that a federal judge investigate possible prosecutorial misconduct. In an earlier probe into sports doping, Novitzky’s team for what a judge called a “callous disregard for Constitutional rights.” The motion appears to be the first major move from a new team of Armstrong lawyers, although it is not the first time that Armstrong against his critics.
