Turns out exercise does provide more than just a brief runner’s high. According to a new study in the Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology, university students who exercised for more than 15 minutes said they felt more satisfied and relaxed before going to sleep. Also surprising: the more vigorously the subjects worked out, the more likely they were to report “pleasant-activated feelings” like enthusiasm and excitement.
