Photographer has right on the heel's of President Obama's . If anyone is qualified to release a book on the fishing industry, it's Arnold. After spending time studying under notable photographers in San Francisco, he moved up to Alaska and worked in fisheries from King Crab and Opilio in the Bering Sea to, well, the salmon fishery in Bristol Bay.
In 2009, we sent writer with Arnold to investigate the battle between the salmon fishermen of Bristol Bay and those behind a proposed Pebble Mine up river. It's probably worth reading that article again now, because government regulation of the commercial fishing industry and other natural resource-based industries that affect fisheries, like mining, is no joke.
