Crossing the Desert on Horseback
The Route: Thirteen days and 217 miles of cantering among zebras, springboks, and ostriches, through starkly beautiful Naukluft Park and on to the sea. When to go: February to October Difficulty: Strenuous Travel advisory: This trip pushes both horse and rider to the limit.
