The Route: Two to three weeks of hiking through North Africa’s highest mountain range, with ascents of 13,665-foot Mount Toubkal and/or 13,356-foot Mount M’Goun, along with visits to Marrakech and Fez. When to go: February to December Difficulty: Moderate Travel advisory: Unemployed Moroccans may try to sell you their guide services, only to take you to a remote location and demand your money.
