It's possible that you're enjoying your summer and that all of the new ski and snowboard trailers coming out aren't making you long for fresh powder, bluebird skies, and a little time in the lodge. If you are craving turns in virgin snow, cooler temps, and naturally frosted mugs, watching ' latest offering might just inspire you to buy a ticket for South America.
The latest behind-the-scenes short that came out of the making of the ski movie records life at , the high church of South American winter adventure lodges. (Portillo is about 100 miles from Santiago in the Andes.) The video is not Sweetgrass's usual testament to fighting through harsh conditions in order to ski new lines, but rather an homage to clean sheets, valet service, some pretty nice hot tubs, a bar where bands cover songs like “” by Wham, and plenty of fresh powder.
