I thought cage diving for Great White sharks would be underwhelming. Despite seeing them look fierce in a million nature documentaries and YouTube videos, we know that the likelihood of getting your limbs torn off in a cage is small. I wasn't expecting much of an adrenaline rush.
But, when the first Great White appeared in the distance, calmly patrolling the surrounding waters, I was floored. Nothing can beat the first-person experience of sharing the ocean with a 17-foot shark.
On this day, the seas were rough, the weather ominous and overcast. Sharks appeared at random and haunted us in a slow, deliberate way.
