The road is often defined by those you meet while traveling. I learned the truth of this during a recent trip to Ireland when I came across a young woman who had left Boston to complete her bucket list. She'd already crossed off an impressive number of activities, but cliff jumping into the chilly waters of Ireland still topped her list.
We’d taken a few wrong turns, walked across a private farm (sorry), and pulled on our wetsuits before the sun fell behind the horizon. Sometime after 10 p.m., she stood at the edge of the cliff and watched as a friend dove in before her. After that, she completed her Irish bucket list—and emerged from the water screaming with a big smile. With my camera wide open trying to capture the fading light, I was just as thrilled to capture the moment.
