The often overlooked roll through eastern Australia, just four hours west of Sydney. One winter afternoon, two friends and I set out from Sydney in hopes of being in the mountains for first light the following morning.
We made it, and after a 30-minute hike from our car, I circled back to an overlook in hopes of capturing the sun piercing through layers of fog as they swept over the mountains. I was rewarded with this image of a friend looking into the distance.
