This week, we scanned Amazon’s bestseller list for the best kids’ bikes, then pulled the best, most authoritative reviews for each.

RoyalBaby BMX Freestyle Bike ($90)

(Amazon)

“I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing , but so far, it seems to be a home run. We can’t keep our daughter off of it. She even just likes to sit on it when she can’t ride! The frame seems to be solid, well made, and has quality welds. The color scheme of the orange and black with the white seat really looks sharp! Heck, I would rock this bike, if I fit!”

Critical Cycles Cub Kids Balance Bike ($60)

(Amazon)

“I spent months scouring Amazon looking for a balance bike for my two-year-old. It seemed like every bike out there had major complaints about it. After reading the almost-all-positive reviews for this bike, I decided to spend a bit more money on  compared to some of the others. I wasn’t disappointed with my choice. My son loves this bike!”

Strider 12 Sport Balance Bike ($110)

(Amazon)

“My four-year-old son loves . The wheels are the best part, ’cause they never need to be inflated. They are a hard and durable polymer and rubber combination. This bike is best used on flat concrete or asphalt. There are no brakes, so take extra care on hills. I take my son to a small local skate park with plenty of flat land for him to ride on and it’s very smooth.”

Dynacraft Magna Starburst Bike ($48)

(Amazon)

“I bought for my daughter for her sixth birthday. This was one of the least expensive 16-inch-wheel bikes that I found so I decided to buy this one. I know she is going to outgrow this in two years so I did not want to spend too much. This was really easy to put together. It is a great first bike to learn.”

Costzon Balance Bike ($40)

(Amazon)

“We bought  for our three-year-old son for his birthday last month. It was easy to assemble and adjust. It seems to be good quality for a good price. The tires are not air inflated; they seem to be made from a hard foam. We added a bell and he loves it!”
